Megan Allen (@hairstylistmeganallen) of Salon 29:11, Smithfield, North Carolina met with her client looking for something new. "Her before had level 5 new growth and her mid shaft and end had red left over from a previous appointment," says Allen. "She loves to change her look and do different things to her hair all the time so she came to me with this idea. I loved it!"

Here Allen shares how she

Step 1: Using Joico Vero K-Pak Lightening on scalp bleach with 40 volume (and Olaplex) prelighten the hair starting at mid-shaft.

Step 2: Once applied to the mid shaft, mix the same bleach but with 20 volume and apply to the scalp and ends.

Step 3: Process for 20 minutes with a cap, no heat. Shampoo and repeat the process to the mid shaft only. Shampoo and dry 90%.

Step 4: Apply Joico Color Intensity Titanium to the root area.

Step 5: to the mid shaft and ends apply the Titanium and Clear (equal parts) to make a silver shade.
