Alyssa Wiener (@lysseon) of Sylin' Salon, Norwalk, Connecticut, makes it clear that she never uses filters or Photoshop on her amazing color designs. She has been at it again, creating an amazing transformation that made us want to know more.

"Ashley's last visit with me was last September. It was her second time ever coloring her hair. We did a purple to blue ombre to celebrate her newly found freedom from quitting her job. Unfortunately the grips of corporate America called her back into their hands, so it was time to tone it down, but still with a twist of fun. I had Ashley send me some pictures of what she was into, but ultimately she decided it was up to me to make the best of the situation."

Here Wiener shares the how to in her own words:

Formula 1: Scruples True Integrity 5VR with a ribbon of yellow, 10 volume
Formula 2: Scruples True Integrity 5RR with a ribbon of yellow, 10 volume
Formula 3: Scruples Urban Shock Red
Note: The yellow additive helps fill in previously lightened spots.

Apply formula 1 at her regrowth. Then, taking 1 inch sections, bring the color down to halfway cover the faded purple. Melt formula 2 into that, making sure they're integrated together to create a color of their own. Do this all over, making the red a little more prominent around her face. I call this a "money piece."

Process for half an hour under heat. Wash with Scruples Total Integrity shampoo and then towel dry. Apply formula 3 in the sink for that extra pop. This is my favorite trick for red heads that need to be "natural."
Condition with Scruples Quick Recovery and blow dry with Kenra's Blow Dry Spray!
