Vanessa (@vanessashairaddition) from Butterfly Loft Salon (@butterflyloftsalon)  says that her longtime client wanted something different but still bright.

"She was 'over' the usual blonde," Vanessa says. The artist suggested silver as a solution that would keep her bright but add a little edginess.

When asked if the finished picture is photoshopped or filtered, David of Butterfly Loft says, "All of our photos are taken with iPhones. We have exceptional light, and most photos are shot in front of a custom concrete wall that absorbs light perfectly. We have floor-to-ceiling windows that extend 14 feet into the air. They are on both side of the salon and let in oodles of light."

Here Vanessa shares the how-to for this beautiful transformation:

STEP 1: Pre-lighten the hair from 2 to 2 1/2 inches off the root, through to the ends with one part Wella Blonder to one and a half parts Wella 20-volume developer. Lift to a level 9.

STEP 2: Deepen the root color with Wella Color Touch 6/0 flaring out slightly onto the pre-lightened hair. Process for 20 minutes without heat before shampooing and towel drying.

STEP 3: Tone with Redken Shades, mixing two parts 6T with one part 9T and one part 9B. Apply this formula starting at the top of the head, and work down. Process for 15 minutes and then shampoo, condition and dry. The hair was styled with a 1 1/4” curling iron.
