Kymmie Friedman (@devil.doll) admits this was a long and tedious process, but SOOOOO worth it! The color specialist and freelance hairstylist based at Blackbyrd in Pasadena, California, is thrilled with the results (so is the client!) Here Friedman offers the details of the monthlong journey:

FOR CHAMPAGNE BLONDE:

Step 1: Apply Wella Blondor with 30 volume developer (ratio 1:2) in very fine back to back foils keeping 1/2 inch off root.

Step 2: Process under heat, approximately 20 - 30 minutes, lifting to pale yellow. Rinse section by section to prevent over processing.

Step 3: Shampoo and condition the hair. Towel dry.

Step 4: Tone with Wella Color Touch 10/6 (blended with 13 volume developer), applying from 1/2 inch away from scalp through ends, for 20 minutes.

Step 5: Rinse and re-tone with Redken Shades EQ 9V all over for 10 minutes to create a soft champagne.

Then when the champagne blonde faded it revealed more of a TRUE BLONDE which looked like this:image.png

Then from true blonde to SILVER which is:

Step 1: Shampoo, rinse, towel dry.

Step 2: Gloss with Redken Shades EQ 8V and 9V. Apply all over.
Step 3: Process  for 15 minutes, rinse, towel dry.
Step 4Apply Pravana Ash/Blue pigment all over the hair.
Step 5: Process for 20 minutes under heat. Rinse and style.
