Melissa Meacham, owner of the art driven Rogue Hair Studio, Woodstock, Ga.(@roguehairstudio) specializes in "Radically defining looks for a new generation of style." Her fun instagram account is filled with powerful and fun colors and finishes. MODERN posted one of her favorite color designs which earned more than 1000 "likes" in just one week. Most of her finishes feature loud, strong colors. Several of the comments following the post asked how she removes Pravana Vivids from the hair when moving on to the next look. Her technique is shared here:

At home instructions: After an in salon clarifying treatment, instruct the client to use the Pravana Clarifying shampoo along with Headshot Shampoo and Conditioner from Catwalk. Best results when client uses this regime for 2 weeks.

In salon treatment: Use the Pravana Color Extractor Kit  (you can use it up to 3 times in one service). Then use a 20-40 volume lightening shampoo (what some would call a soap cap) with TIGI True Light White Lightener. (If you are not sure how to use it or this process, do a test strand.) It is very important to not use any shampoo/conditioner with dye in it, including a professional toning shampoo, after the extractions. It will soak up the color and turn it black. Also you will need to go 2-3 times lighter to get your intended color and possibly up to half the processing time. This is a process you have to watch.

*EDITORS NOTE: Pravana contacted MODERN, asking us to remove this post as they do not recommend this technique. Please be advised that this is Meacham's personal formulation.
