Jodi Stormshak (@jodistormshak) of Harlow Salon, Nashville, TN, says that "being able to put a smile on a client's face never gets old." A blonde, razor cutting, and formal/bridal styling specialist, Stormshak really "loves being able to create something different every single day."

She got the chance to create something different with client Dedja who had previously lightened her hair at home and was unhappy with the brassy and damaged result. "My goal was to create a custom color for her that would would make her skin tone and eyes glow, and get her back on track to healthy, shiny hair."

Here Stormshak shares how she corrected the color and texture:

Step 1: Mix 20grams of 5/5 in TIGI Gloss, 20grams of 77/66 in TIGI Creative Colour, and 12grams of /55 in Tigi Mix Master with 8.5 activator. "I did not apply a root color, as she wanted to keep her natural color and only cover the previously lightened hair."

Step 2: Section the hair into 4 quadrants and work bottom to top in each section. With a bowl and brush application, saturate the ends feathering up into her virgin hair to avoid any harsh lines.

Step 3: Process for 35 minutes at room temperature and shampoo with Brazilian Blowout Acai Anti-Frizz shampoo and condition with Brazilian Blowout Acai Deep Conditioning Masque.

Step 4: Apply Brazilian Blowout Acai Daily Smoothing Serum from roots to ends and work with small sections from the bottom up.

Step 5: With the same technique for straightening, spray each section with TIGI S Factor Heat Defender Flat Iron Spray and finish with TIGI S Factor Dream Drops.
