MODERN asked President of International Hair & Beauty Systems Hilton Bell
five questions about Organic Color Systems. Here’s his insights on the color line:
 | MS. Describe Organic Color Systems.
HB: Organic Color Systems is a
revolutionary professional color line that eliminates the use of Ammonia
in the formula. By suspending the color molecules in an
oil/moisturizing base, we soften the cuticle and open it with gentle
heat rather than aggressively blowing it open with Ammonia. This leaves
hair in superior condition with better color retention. The hair will
have greater potential for future changes because it is not being
compromised by Ammonia.
MS: What is your mission?
HB: International Hair and Beauty Systems’ mission is to provide high
performance hair products, which maximize the use of gentle, nourishing
and natural ingredients while minimizing the necessity for harsh or
damaging chemicals additives. We hope to bring about superior results,
increased competence and a safer salon environment for all concerned.

MS: What makes Organic Color Systems stand out from other brands?
HB:
OCS gives hairdressers much greater scope with color changes on
their clients. OCS
eliminates inherent problems associated with
ammoniated colors, such as hot roots. It will not
grab or go drab on the
ends and OCS has the ability to achieve even color from roots to ends.
OCS will not band due to over-lapping. You also can go from blonde to
brown without the
“need for fillers”.
MS: How do you help hairdressers use these products?
HB: We provide hairdressers with a training DVD and a technical manual. Our Technical
Advisors follow up with salons and are available five days a week for salon support. We routinely
send out technical tips, as well as formulas to our salons. There are also forums where salons can
discuss their positive results and challenges. We also hold advanced color classes on a regular basis.
MS: What are some of the key ingredients in Organic Color Systems?
HB: There are numerous ingredients in the color formula but three that are important to the scalp
and hair are: Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Vitamin E, Orange Extract and Vitamin C.
